Lower Thames St

Resonate were instructed to refurbish the classic Northern and Shell building for Halkin group. An Exciting and challenging project ensued.

The space had to appeal to many types of small to medium occupiers, to service their needs and provide a backdrop to build their companies. The Northern and Shell building based on Lower Thames street with spectacular views of the Thames and all its exciting historical and contemporary architecture was the back drop to this building. The emphasis was to provide light and airy spaces and a club feel.

The office floors from level 4 to 10 were part of this exciting undertaking. Level 4 was essentially a co-working space with a huge decked terrace, making the most of the views and natural light, with a library, and lounge incorporating a working fire providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Leading to a huge newly decked terrace stunning for entertaining or relaxing away from the office space.

The 6th and 7th floors were standard serviced office floors with lovely new breakout spaces that Resonate designed to work for multiple occupants, Black framed partitioning, interesting wall graphics and stunning artwork by the client provided an atmosphere that was both professional and memorable.

8th and 9th floors are the next level of comfort and atmosphere with the breath-taking views improving as you climb the building floors. The client lounge on the 8th again with fireplace and veneered walls gave a luxurious feel. Bespoke lighting and detailing throughout.

The 10th floor remained a private office which Resonate were fortunate to refurnish and redesign in muted Italian tones, to the highest level of luxury appropriate to its owner.

Overall a project of deep transformation and reformation, breathing new life and atmosphere into a once somewhat weary and dated interior.
